Job Description

The University of Mississippi, Patterson School of Accountancy seeks to fill one Accountancy Instructor position beginning Fall 2025, or earlier. Subject to availability, there may be opportunities for summer teaching. Instructors play a vital role in the Patterson School of Accountancy undergraduate program, and are expected to actively participate as faculty members on the Oxford campus.

 


About the Patterson School of Accountancy:

The Patterson School offers the Bachelor of Accountancy, four masters degrees, and a Ph.D. in Accountancy. All degree programs are accredited by the AACSB. Our programs have been consistently ranked in the top 10 nationally for many years. The School is administered by the Dean of the School of Accountancy, who reports directly to the Provost and Executive Vice Chancellor. Position Details

Appointment: 9 Month

Assignment Type: Non-Tenure Track

Minimum Qualifications

At a minimum, a masters degree in accounting or taxation, an MBA, or a JD degree, and a CPA are required. The successful applicant will have had experience in the accounting field, experience in teaching, and be dedicated to quality teaching and service to the School and University.
