Bachelor’s Degree with a concentration in accounting, finance or business management.
Experience:
3-5 years of administrative experience with increasing responsibility.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
- Self-motivated and detail-oriented.
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to explain financials and maintain compliance documentation for restricted funds.
- Ability to be a team player.
- Excellent organization skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Preferences:
- Experience in higher education is preferred, as is knowledge of OMB’s Uniform Guidance.
- Knowledge of University of Maryland policies and procedures and how they relate to grant accounting, travel, personnel/HR matters, and purchasing.
- Experience with the University of Maryland’s ARES System including Kuali Financial, Kuali Research as well as Priority/BA4.
- Experience with the University of Maryland’s Travel Card and Purchasing Card Management systems.
Additional Certifications:
Completion of the Office of Research Administration’s Certificate Program (Basic and Advanced).
Additional Information:
Salary range is $56K-$65K.
