The Senior Manager, Trade Compliance is responsible for managing the export and import program of the business, as well as conducting assessments and audits of the business's compliance with export and import laws and regulations.
This role requires an experienced leader who can lead an effective team of trade compliance individuals and has experience in managing a trade compliance program in a manufacturing environment. One portion of the business requires experience in operations consisting of locations in both the USA and Mexico, including a maquiladora and an IMMEX program. The other portion of the business will require experience managing a compliance program for aerospace parts registered under the EAR and ITAR and occasionally sold outside the US.
This position can be based out of San Diego, CA, Erlanger, KY, or Rockmart, GA.
Job Core Responsibilities:* Implementation and maintenance of the Trade Compliance program within the business, including tracking and reporting of internal investigations and any resulting disclosure.
* Ensures that global trade transactions are undertaken in compliance with import/export laws, regulations and controls administered by the government agency as appropriate to the business location.
* Implementation of an anticorruption due diligence process concerning customers and suppliers.

* Supervises a team of Global Trade professionals & support and nurture each member of your team with career development guidance/activities.
* Provides export/import licensing guidance and license portfolio management guidance.
* Supports the business with developing export/import licensing strategies to enable business growth.
* Acts as Subject Matter Expert (SME) in ITAR and EAR Export Authorizations requirements and drafting.
* Acts as Subject Matter Expert (SME) in maquiladora and IMMEX requirements.
Education: Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent
Years Experience: 8+ years experience
Required Skills:* Strong ability to lead, plan and manage a global trade compliance program.
* Excellent knowledge of ITAR, EAR as well as strong familiarity with compliance requirements of IMMEX and Maquiladora programs.
* Demonstrated experience submitting and managing export licenses as well as drafting and managing trade compliance policies.
* Solid analytical skills and judgement to proactively identify and solve increasingly complex problems.
* Strong attention to detail, good organizational skills and the ability to prioritize with changing situations.
* Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
* Works independently with minimal supervision, effectively managing tasks and making decisions autonomously.

Please note that the salary range information is only applicable for California. Compensation is based on a variety of factors, candidate experience, qualifications, location as well as market and business considerations. Pay Range: $130K-$150K
