THE OFFICE OF UNDERGRADUATE STUDIES:
The Office of Undergraduate Studies (OUS), an established unit within the Office of the Provost, operates with goals to meet and exceed retention, persistence, graduation, career, and post-graduate outcomes noted in the strategic plan. OUS comprises three major units: The Academic Center for Excellence, Center for Career & Professional Success, and the Office of General Education. Collectively, OUS units provide transformative offerings through three major functions: academic excellence support, academic and career exploration, and career development.
THE ACADEMIC CENTER FOR EXCELLENCE:
The Academic Center for Excellence (ACE) offers orientation, high-impact academic and career advising, learning support, merit scholar development, and a range of support services to ensure that undergraduate students successfully persist and graduate, at minimum, in accordance with the goals set in the University’s strategic plan.
BASIC FUNCTION:
The Program Manager supports the Associate Director of the ACE Scholars by co-managing day-to-day functions such as meeting with students and donors, reviewing applications, conducting mock interviews, planning events, and hosting information sessions, and other stakeholders as well as mana which requires well developed written and verbal communication, organizational, and event management skills.
SUPERVISORY ACCOUNTABILITY:

NATURE AND SCOPE:
Internal contacts include, faculty, students, alumni, undergraduate professional advisers in the schools and college. External contacts include representatives of other institutions, associations, and organizations.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Assist the Associate Director to promote undergraduate participation in university and external merit-based scholarship and fellowship programs.

Provide editing and writing support for students applying for the Fulbright U.S. Student Award opportunity.

Coordination with key personnel to develop marketing and program promotional materials.

Compile and track a wide range of student information and project data, maintaining data integrity.

Contribute to the production of program reports, materials, and content accuracy, and completeness.

Contribute to proposal development, project reporting, and project impact stories for the Sands Scholars Program.

Support the Associate Director in developing enrichment programming for honors program students and university-based scholarship recipients.

Serve as primary point of contact for the Sands Scholars Program recipients’ general inquiries.

Perform other duties as requested.

Must be computer proficient: Windows, MS Office Suite, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet applications.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s degree plus a year of related experience required.

Master’s degree preferred.
-
This position requires effective presentation, writing, and communication skills and experience with emerging technologies.

Experience writing for web, leveraging social media, or other digital media.
-
Proven experience managing multiple administrative tasks.

Very strong time management, multitasking, and organizational skills.
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

Familiarity with honors programming and special initiatives (prestigious scholars, study abroad, undergraduate research, etc.)

Expected Pay Range: $65,454 - 72,000
