The Director of Programs and Services serves as the leader of OSBI in California and is OSBI’s primary public representative in California. This position works in partnership with Executive and Program Leadership Teams to ensure that OSBI fulfills its mission and strategically plans for the future success, financial viability, and leadership of OSBI as a quality provider of programs and services to Individuals with Intellectual Disability in the State of California. The Director of Programs and Services will be a prime mover of the organization’s strategic priorities in California and will enthusiastically support and share the vision of OSBI and provide leadership and professional guidance to all Program Staff. The position oversees and leads the development and ongoing management and daily operations of all California programs and services. These responsibilities include leadership, mentorship, and evaluation of California Program Management, as well as supporting management to set standards for professional conduct and evaluation of all staff. The Director is also responsible for leading efforts to address needs, interests, aptitudes, and ISP Goals and Objectives of all individuals participating in One Step Beyond Programs. This includes curriculum development, development of community partners, ongoing and effective communication with parents/guardians and all program stakeholders, as well as all other means to advance program goals achievement, responsiveness to participants, and continuous improvement. The Director is responsible for the management of the California Budget. The Director is responsible for ensuring that all vendors Programs and Services are in compliance with GGRC program and quality assurance specifications as well as OSBI internal policies and procedures. The Director is a liaison between OSBI Human Resources and the all levels of staff within the Region (including supporting recruitment, on-boarding, and training initiatives). The Director is ultimately responsible for leading all necessary actions to bring success for all program participants while advancing the realization of the Mission and Vision of OSBI in California.

Qualifications

· Experience with individuals with developmental disabilities and a passion for the mission, vision, and values of One Step Beyond.

· Experience as professional, results oriented, and innovative leader, with a demonstrable record of success in leading organizations to their next level of performance.

· Demonstrable record of success in managing complex organizations and expertise in social services organization management.

· Excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills to reach common goals and objectives vital to the sustainability of One Step Beyond.

· Excellent communication skills and demonstrable ability to establish and cultivate strong relationships with individuals within the organization and external to the organization.

· Excellent interpersonal skills to foster a healthy organizational culture, encourage teamwork, and promote interdepartmental collaboration.

· Bachelor’s degree in Non-profit Management, Business Administration, Social Services Administration, or similar field.

Responsibilities

· Development and Implementation of an annual operating plan that supports the strategic plan approved by the Board and Executive Leadership Team, correlates with the CA annual operating budget, and promotes a high standard of programs and services to adults served in San Mateo County.

· Oversee the operations of CA OSBI and its compliance with legal and regulatory requirements and develop and implement policies and procedures that ensure this compliance.

· Collaborate with CFO to develop annual budgets for California programs and services that support operating plans, prudently manage organizations resources within budget guidelines, and ensure that financial accounting procedures and practices are in compliance with OSBI Financial policies and procedures.

· Guide the implementation of daily individualized schedules of instructional classes and enrichment activities that are responsive to the needs, aptitudes, interests, and IPP/ISP goals and objectives of all program participants, as well as collecting and evaluating information that measures the success of participant progress and program effectiveness.

· Project a professional, knowledgeable, and capable image consistent with the One Step Beyond mission in public interactions and serve as the primary spokesperson and representative for One Step Beyond in California.

· Consider the welfare, growth and development of program participants as a top priority in all organizational and program decision making, planning, and development.

· Communicate effectively and in a timely manner with participants and parents/guardians to address concerns, maintain positive relationships, and serve as an advocate for participants and a resource for parents/guardians

· Act as a developer and liaison between One Step Beyond and the community, building relationships and partnerships with peer organizations and other organizations to enhance opportunities for individuals with Intellectual disability.

· Promote a collaborative employee culture that reflects the organization’s values and encourages collaborative interaction, conscientious performance, and mutual respect.

· Serve as a member of the Leadership Team to promote and articulate the organization's Vision, Mission, and Core Values, and to develop strategies for achieving organizational success.

· Serve as a model, mentor, supervisor, and ongoing evaluator to ensure that management staff have clearly defined roles, are aware of the requirements of their jobs and set high expectations for daily delivery of service to participants that reflect safety in supervision, positive behavior support practices, and attention to individualized participant objectives.

· Collaborate with HR to facilitate program applicant interviews, hiring, and onboarding processes, as well as guiding ongoing in-service training and demonstrating familiarity with One Step Beyond Employee Manual and personnel policies to ensure that staff has up to date certifications and other ongoing personnel file documentation.

· Handle difficult situations with a positive attitude by actively seeking problem resolution, creative solutions, and program and organizational enhancements to ensure individual and team performance as well as program effectiveness

· Seek outside resources to grow in personal knowledge and awareness of growing trends and best practices to continuously improve California programs and organizational stability and sustainability to endure that CA OSBI continues to grow in reputation as a premier provider of services to individuals who have intellectual disability.

· Continuously evaluate program effectiveness, and implement improvements and adjustments to

program strategies.

· Seek opportunities to collaborate with and learn from colleagues to achieve a greater degree of service to the organization and its program participants.

· Seek opportunities to share knowledge, experience, and best practices with colleagues to enhance organizational and program effectiveness.

· Demonstrate self-awareness of strengths and challenges and implement strategies to enhance strengths and address challenges.

· Any other duties as assigned.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
