Location: Southern Peaks Regional Treatment Center | 700 Four Mile Parkway | Canon City, CO 81212
The Director of Operations is a pivotal role, designed to bridge the gap between strategic objectives and operational execution. This position is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of residential services to ensure a safe and secure environment and the delivery of high-quality services.
Salary From: $115,000 to $125,000 Annually
Job Type: Full-time

Director of Operations
Primary responsibilities:
Agency Leadership & Oversight
o Accountable for the overall positive leadership of the facility and maintains a healthy and high-performing culture among employees that supports staff development and reinforces effective supervisory engagement and the collaborative management of others
o Leads, coaches and develops assigned employees; sets clearly defined performance expectations with employees, provides meaningful performance feedback and delivers formal performance evaluations
o Inspires and motivates employees to perform their best work; demonstrates the ability to both receive and provide positive and constructive feedback in all initiatives and communication
Facility Operations
o Manages the day-to-day operations of services and programs by supporting the effective functioning of all departments and ensuring that the physical locations are well maintained, safe, and conducive to the therapeutic treatment and engagement of youth and families
o Effectively plans, organizes and prioritizes, time and resources that aligns with the strategic direction, initiatives, goals and objectives of the organization and department; possesses knowledge of financial monitoring and reporting
o Evaluates program/facility training needs for staff members and coordinates and implements training activities and programs.
o Communicates regularly and thoroughly with appropriate supervisory staff member on matters such as operational, administrative, and personnel issues within the program/facility.
o Supports the Abraxas philosophy and mission and promotes the Seven Key Principles of care.
o Demonstrate appropriate use of Safe Crisis Management (SCM) intervention techniques and skills and provide effective supervision to staff regarding the use of SCM.
o Identifies the nature, dynamics and categories of challenging behaviors and reduce their frequency.
Facility Operations & Continuous Improvement
o Maintains appropriate census and budget expectations for long-term sustainability, as well as manages expenses and increases revenue and/or diversifies funding streams to ensure that the strategic goals of assigned services and the mission are achieved
o Supports an active continuous quality improvement and risk management culture in which key organization and agency performance indicators are routinely identified, monitored, and improved
o Manages a current and relevant training program that orients and mentors' new staff effectively, expands staff's knowledge and experiences, and ensures the ongoing talent development of future leaders
o Ensures that the facility adheres to the requirements of all licensing, contracting and accrediting bodies
Required Education and Experience:
. Bachelor's degree in behavioral or social science field and minimum 8+ years of progressively responsible experience in residential program/facility of which 5+ years must be in a supervisory or managerial level; OR
. Master's degree in behavioral or social science field and minimum 6+ years of progressively responsible experience in residential program/facility of which 4+ years' experience must be in a supervisory or managerial level.
