The South Bend Entrepreneurship and Adversity Program (SBEAP) is part of the award-winning Urban Poverty and Business Initiative. The SBEAP Collaboration Hub, launched through the McKenna Center for Human Development and Global Business, is dedicated to empowering local entrepreneurs who have completed the SBEAP program, providing them with tailored business assistance and programming.
The Collaboration Hub serves as a model for similar programs in 45 other cities and provides free training, mentoring, and consulting services to help low-income and disadvantaged entrepreneurs succeed in overcoming adversity through business ownership.
Position Summary:
We are seeking highly motivated and skilled individuals to join our team as Collaboration Hub Summer Fellows. As a Summer Fellow, you will play a key role in supporting entrepreneurs who have completed the SBEAP program. You will provide consulting services, conduct training sessions, and collaborate directly with entrepreneurs to address their business needs.

You will provide consulting services, conduct training sessions, and collaborate directly with entrepreneurs to address their business needs.
This is a full-time, in-person position at the Collaboration Hub in downtown South Bend.
Responsibilities:
Provide consulting services to entrepreneurs, including assistance with:

- Marketing strategies and social media presence
- Accounting, finances, and pricing
- Operations and distribution
- Website creation
- Business registration
- Business plan development
- Photography (headshots and product photoshoots)
- Excel and Canva skills
- Sales and other tailored business needs
- Reach out to entrepreneurs to schedule and provide individualized assistance at the Hub.
- Design and deliver hands-on training sessions for entrepreneurs on skillsets such as:
- Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools for business
- Social media marketing
- Canva for design
- Financial services, including QuickBooks and Wave
- Maintain a welcoming and collaborative environment at the Hub, fostering a supportive community for entrepreneurs.

Minimum Qualifications
Qualifications:
Current college student with experience or strong interest in entrepreneurship, business, consulting, or related fields.

- Strong knowledge or skills in one or more of the following areas: marketing, accounting, finances, social media, operations, website creation, Canva, or Excel.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with diverse entrepreneurs effectively.
- Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to empowering disadvantaged entrepreneurs and fostering community development.
